Dobbs Ferry High School se­nior and var­sity lacrosse mid­fielder Harry Dann, Jr, is once again leading the varsity lacrosse team in hosting a fundraiser during one of its games on behalf of 11-year-old Jacob Moon.

The Moon family lives in Dobbs Ferry community. Jacob was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome in 2016.

“De­spite what the Moon fam­ily is go­ing through, they never com­plain and are al­ways so kind to every­one,” said Dann, Jr, 17, who is headed to Penn State Uni­ver­sity in the fall.

His mother, Bar­bara, added, “Harry re­ally looks up to them and wanted to do the fundraiser again be­cause he has al­ways been so deeply moved by Ja­cob.”

Two years ago, Dann, Jr, organized the Dobbs Ferry High School Lacrosse’s first game in honor of Moon, which raised more than $1,000. Last year’s plans were can­celled due to the coro­n­avirus pan­demic.
