The Coushatta-Red River Chamber of Commerce is dedicating its 2025 Crappie Fishing Tournament & Family Day on March 1, 2025, to benefiting Lydia Rachal and Cure Sanfilippo Foundation.

Tournament Details:
There is a $100/boat entry fee. $20 for big fish and $10 for “big trash.” You can fish any body of water. Weigh in takes place at Grand Bayou. Participants can leave at safe light and must be in the weigh-in line by 2:30 p.m. Fifty percent payout for all contests: Places paid depends on boat. Fun Day Details:
Free entry to Grand Bayou from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Free fun jumps and family activities. Food vendors will be available for purchase.

This 2025 Crappie Fishing Tournament & Family Day is dedicated to Lydia Rachal, a local 2-year-old who has been diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome. This disease, also known as “childhood Alzheimer’s,” will take her memories, abilities, and eventually her life. This event will help raise money to support Cure Sanfilippo Foundation’s work to fund life-saving medical treatments for children like Lydia.
