The family of Beckham Hutcheson is holding its first big fundraising event, the 2025 Benefit for Sanfilippo Syndrome, on October 4, 2025, in Rockmart, Georgia. The event will be packed with activities and there’s certain to be something for everyone, while also funding research to help children with Sanfilippo Syndrome.

Enjoy a motorcycle ride, food, and vendors, hosted at the American Legion Post 12 in Rockmart, Georgia. Thank you to the American Legion Riders for their support of this event.

Sanfilippo Syndrome is a terminal, degenerative disease that causes children to lose all the skills they’ve gained, suffer seizures and movement disorders, experience pain and suffering, dementia, and then die usually in their teen years.

Sanfilippo syndrome is a rare genetic disease and it is estimated that 1 in 70,000 births will result in Sanfilippo. Parents are unknowingly carriers of a genetic mutation that causes the children to have this condition. This equates to many thousands around the world suffering from this disease. Because it is rare, it is often left to parent-led organizations like Cure Sanfilippo Foundation to spread awareness and fund research.
