Help find a cure for Sanfilippo Syndrome by participating in the 2023 “Do It For Declan” 5K and Fun Run on December 9 at Founders Park in Wylie, Texas. In addition to the runs, there will be food, games, vendors, music, and more!

Each December, friends, family, and community members of Declan Sink come together to raise awareness and financial support for critical research. Our event is called Do it for Declan because we do it all for him and other children suffering from Sanfilippo. Most people have never even heard of Sanfilippo. You are already spreading awareness by signing up for our event. You have now heard of this disease and hopefully you will tell others. All proceeds from our mile fun run and 5K go directly to the non-profit Cure Sanfilippo Foundation. Your participation is a contribution, an action, and hope. We are racing for a cure.

The 5K route follows along Jerry Wayne Combest St and the Founders Park Trail. The course is USATF certified and sanctioned. Chip timed. All participants receive a race t-shirt* and finisher medal.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

• 7:30am – Check in for pre-registered participants and same day registration
  Please make sure to have your ID to receive your bib (5K) and race packet
• 8:30am – 1 mile fun run/walk
• 9:00am – 5K run
• 10:00am – Awards for 5K
• 10:30am – Vendor breakdown, end of event
