October 2025 “Sanfilippo Speak” to focus on the ins and outs of estate planning

October 16, 2025

The next installment of “Sanfilippo Speak,” Cure Sanfilippo Foundation’s family-focused webinar series covering topics pivotal to navigating life with Sanfilippo Syndrome, is Thursday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. ET.

When is it a good time to think about estate planning? How do words like “probate,” “special needs trusts,” “executor,” and “beneficiary” relate to me? How do I include my child or children with Sanfilippo in this process?

Find out during the October 30 session of Sanfilippo Speak, the Foundation’s family support webinar series that provides Sanfilippo-specific insights around pivotal topics.

This session of Sanfilippo Speak will explore an overview of the estate planning process to include special needs trusts. Hear from an experienced estate planning attorney about what you need to know to navigate the estate planning process for your family and your child with Sanfilippo Syndrome.

About our speaker

Kellie Corbett, JD, licensed in North and South Carolina, has been practicing in the fields of estate planning and elder law for over eight years — and she truly loves what she does. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, she attended the University of South Carolina for undergrad and received her jurid doctorate from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

Corbett is no stranger to the world of special needs trusts. As a super sibling to a younger brother with a rare neurodevelopmental disability, she has seen first-hand the personal need for long-term planning for a loved one.
