“The Heart of Eureka” podcast speaks with Sanfilippo parents Jason & Theresa Wacker

March 26, 2024

Recently, The Heart of Eureka Podcast featured the Wackers, a local family whose daughter Gianna was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome in 2022. Her parents Jason and Theresa were guests of the podcasts, sharing their journey of seeking answers to help their oldest daughter with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a terminal illness, while raising four young kids and the importance of a strong community network.

Jason and I were asked to share our story about our journey with our daughter, Gianna, navigating life before and after her diagnosis of Sanfilippo Syndrome for Most Sacred Heart Parish – Eureka, Missouri’s new podcast, Heart of Eureka. We recorded this last August and today it went 𝐿𝐼𝑉𝐸!

I’ve never recorded a podcast and to say I was nervous would be an understatement. But I’ll never say no to advocating for our G and spreading awareness of this terrible disease. We truly felt God’s presence surrounding us and lifting us up when we were sharing our hearts.

If you have time, we would love for you to listen to our story and share it for the world to hear. We appreciate your support more than we could ever express.
