Foundation crosses $1 million mark in 2020 fundraising

September 26, 2020

Cure Sanfilippo Foundation supporters have raised more than $1 million in 2020 so far, to fund research into Sanfilippo Syndrome!

“When the World shut down in March, we knew we couldn’t stop the time-sensitive mission to help children. But we didn’t know what the response would be?” said Foundation President and Co-Founder Glenn O’Neill.

“We talked to donors, supporters, advocates, families and many more. And they told us, ‘Keep going. Keep fighting. We’ll be with you!'”

The Foundation and its partner families are so thankful for the support as it continues and has some exciting things happening in the coming days and next few months. The Step Up To Cure Sanfilippo steps fundraiser on Oct. 11. Family fundraisers such as golf outings and virtual marathons. Continuation of an ongoing clinical trial. New research opportunities. And more.

For people interested in supporting the Foundation’s mission to save children, there are many ways to get involved.

“THANK YOU for staying with us! $1 million in 2020 already is simply amazing given this unprecedented year. We hope you and your families are healthy and safe during this time,” said O’Neill. “Cherish the special time with your loved ones.”

On behalf of all of our Sanfilippo families, thank you. All of the support is making a difference in the efforts to #CureSanfilippo!
