Even though the second annual Dino Dash 4 Declan wasn’t able to happen as it did the year before, friends and supporters laced up their shoes to participate virtually. All in support of Declan and to find research to cure Sanfilippo Syndrome.
Folks participated in the 2020 Dino Dash 4 Declan by completing a 5K anytime between Sept. 22 – 26 to benefit Cure Sanfilippo Foundation.
The Foundation “funds necessary clinical research and trials for children diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome,” shared Declan’s mom Kathy on a Aug. 29 Facebook post. “My son, Declan, is one of these children in need of treatment, in need of a cure.”
“A cure can’t wait for this rapidly degenerative disease. Even for a pandemic,” said Cure Sanfilippo Foundation President Glenn O’Neill. “Thank you to Declan’s family and friends for finding a way to enjoy the 2020 Dino Dash 4 Declan that ensured everyone’s safety in order to support a wonderful young man and a very important cause.”
