Just like a cure can’t wait for the pandemic, awareness won’t either.
Families and supporters are taking advantage of face masks as a way to spread awareness about the fight to cure Sanfilippo Syndrome. Cure Sanfilippo Foundation is helping by offering multiple face masks options on its online store.
A variety of design options are available. One face mask design features the Foundation’s logo and shape.
The “Save the Unicorns” design celebrates the parallel between unicorns and children with Sanfilippo Syndrome. Unicorns are rare and unfathomable creatures. Sanfilippo Syndrome is a rare and unfathomable disease that affects children. To many, children who suffer from Sanfilippo Syndrome are unicorns. They are beautiful, loving, unique, strong, powerful, and bring joy to so many people.
Masks are also available bearing partner families’ individual identities and brands. The first to be created are WILL Power for Will Byers and Connor Dobbyn and more are expected.
The reusable cloth face masks are made of two layers of 100% polyester and provide a physical barrier around the face. They are, however, not meant for medical-grade and not meant for medical use. Great for everyday use for overall protection.
Each mask is $6, not including tax. Proceed from the masks benefit the Foundation’s mission to cure all types of Sanfilippo Syndrome by advocating for and funding research directed towards a cure and treatment options.
The masks are printed by a on-demand, drop-shipment company. Production time is estimated at 10 business days, slower than usual because of the pandemic.
